Sticklepath Methodist Chapel is one of the oldest chapels in the circuit, on the old main road to Cornwall.

John Wesley stayed in Sticklepath many times on his way to Cornwall having made friends with the Society of Friends in the village. The white rock (off the main road on the way to Okehampton) and its associated flag pole marks the spot where John Wesley preached on his travels through the village. There is also a Quaker Burial ground behind the chapel near to the yard of Finch Foundry.

There is a monthly service held normally at 11.00 am, when our fiends from South Zeal and Belstone meet with us.

Acrostic Poem by Edgar Hucker dedicated to STICKLEPATH Chapel: Sunday is a different day Than the six we work and play. It's a God-given day for rest, Chapel worship makes it blest. King of Kings we worship You, Lord, it is our duty to. Empty our whole life of sin, Pray, Lord, You will enter in, And renew our faith we pray. Thank you for the Sabbath day. Hallelujah!
