Monkokehampton Methodist Church is a small congregation which shares worship with the local Anglican Church, and as part of a wider network of churches in a newly created Mission Community. Worship is not confined to the chapel, as there is also a bi-monthly house service (details available) and, organised together with the Faith Mission, a large and successful annual barn meeting with barbeque. In August there is also open-air worship in the middle of the village.

For further details please contact the Minister (John Leach) at 01837 810591 or by email.

Acrostic Poem by Edgar Hucker dedicated to MONKOKEHAMPTON Chapel: Making his way to the chapel so small (Often he'd gone in response to God's call), Never a driver, no car did he own - Kind 'Mr Preacher Man' walking alone. On his arrival he spent time in prayer, Knees may be aching, but heart free from care. Entering the pulpit he looked all around, Half past six came and there wasn't a sound. Am I the only one come here tonight? Master, to preach Your word is my delight. Probably snow had kept everyone home, Then he thought - maybe, but I'm not alone. On this, so cold winter's night, yes he knew - Never does God forget just one or two.
