Madworthy (Bethlehem) Methodist Chapel is a "crossroads" chapel built in the 1930s on the site of an older building. The church serves the local community and is one of three Methodist chapels situated just on the edge of the growing community of Halwill. The worship is largely traditional, but is well attended and there is a growing Sunday School and youth group who assist in some services. In recent years Madworthy and Eworthy have come together to worship as one congregation worshipping at two sites. Worship is at 11am, with the congregation meeting at Eworthy, usually on the first Sunday of the month, but at Madworthy at all other times.

Acrostic Poem by Edgar Hucker dedicated to MADWORTHY Chapel: Mary and Martha brought memories to me. As with two ladies I'd share Sunday tea. Deep in the countryside, far from the crowd, Where just a pin drop would sound rather loud! Often they'd say to me, 'you sit just there'. Reserved for me was the old 'preacher's chair'. They were both elderly, saintly and sweet, How I remember my Sunday tea treat. Yes, I remember it well!
