Emmanuel Methodist Chapel at Chilla was one of the early preaching places of the Bible Christian Methodists although the present chapel was not opened until 1893. It serves as the Methodist presence in Halwill Junction and the congregation enjoys good relations with Anglican and Baptist friends. A warm welcome and a good sing awaits anyone at 'Chilla Chapel'.

Acrostic Poem by Edgar Hucker dedicated to CHILLA Chapel: Corn that grows to make us bread, Hay that keeps the cattle fed. In our harvest songs of praise, Let us all our voices raise. Let us that God for our food, And remember God is good.
